Resident Evil 4

I’d like to thank Capcom for updating Resident Evil 4 for the Nintendo Wii. It’s like they’ve donned a cape and flown around the globe, Superman-style, turning back the clock and giving me the chance to write a guide for one of the best games ever made. That’s no overstatement: I’ve been gaming since I could lift a joystick, and Resident Evil 4 is the only title I’ve ever played through, beaten, and then immediately blazed through a second time to experience all over again. I didn’t even explore the many bonus modes I’d unlocked after my initial playthrough until I’d twice cleared the 30+ hour main adventure - the game’s that good.
Having been a huge fan of the original, I can safely say that this is the ultimate rendition of the masterpiece. Resident Evil 4 was so revolutionary when it first hit stores in 2005 that it easily measures up to today’s standards, and the new Wii controls plunge you into the nightmare like never before. Pointing to aim with the Wii Remote, frantically waving the controller to outrun tumbling boulders and slash enemies with Leon’s knife - if this game were just now being released for the very first time, jaws would still hit the floor just like they did back in ‘05.
Whether you’re a die-hard Resident Evil fan eager to relive the horror or a casual gamer looking for the next blockbuster adventure to enjoy on your Wii, Resident Evil 4 deserves a special spot in your library. Just make sure to leave room for our official guide, which covers every aspect of the game in complete detail. From advanced combat tactics to weapon and item stats, and step-by-step walkthroughs brimming with secrets and strategy, we’ve spared no effort in creating the most comprehensive Resident Evil 4 guide to date. Don’t venture into the nightmare without it!
