7. Another way to prevent noise is to line floor next to the common wall with objects (i.e. sofas, tables, bookshelves, etc.). If the tiles adjacent to entire length of the wall are inaccessible to your Sims, no noise will be created because your Sim can’t get close enough to bang on the wall.

8. Roommates with high Neat personalities or high Cooking skill are like having a service NPC who pays you! Be choosy in your roommate selection if you can.

9. When collecting rent from a delinquent roommate, minimize the relationship damage by using the Sim with the highest relationship to the roomie.

10. There’s a very cool hidden lot in Belladonna Cove, but you’ll need to be very observant and clever with camera placement to find it. Once you can click on it, however, you can move in a family.

11. Want a shortcut to the magical life? The Cordial sisters in Belladonna Cove are primed for the witch transformation. They already know the NPC witches and have even decorated their house with reagents.

4. Mind your Sim’s Reputation. If it’s good enough, it can increase the odds of getting Secret Networking Benefits.

5. To get reduced rent, help your Sims become friends or, for big savings, romantically involved with the Landlord.

6. Since apartment noise is inevitable, protect your Sim’s from sleep disturbances by locating beds in rooms away from shared walls.

Apartments, communites, roomies, witches and more! The Sims 2: Apartment Life is full of new goodies for all your Sims and master Sims player Greg Kramer has a set of tips to get your apartment setup correctly the first time!

1. When your Sim is first transformed into a witch by the NPC Witch (Good or Evil), buy as many of each kind of reagent as your Sim can afford. Nothing’s more frustrating than having all this new power and no way to use it.

2. If your Sims have a Butler, this new NPC will take care of the kids too, just like a Nanny. If, however, your Sim’s job(s) leave the kids with no one to watch them during a night job, the easiest route is to have a Nanny hired to follow your Sims’ schedules. If the Butler is on duty, she won’t come. If he’s off for the night, she’ll come as usual.

3. Each time your Sim meets a Social Group Townie, it pays to use the group’s favorite greeting and Tell Story topic. They’ll yield some extra relationship points for the interaction.
