I must say that Square has been incredibly tenacious in making this online multiplayer game a success. When it first came out, I went out and bought two brand new gaming laptops for myself and my husband just so we could easily play the game. What a terrible disappointment. I think we played a total of 20 (rather painful) hours before we gave up. I cried...seriously, it was sad.

And, after many firings, apologies to us, and promises made, they've finally announced that the complete overhaul of what Final Fantasy XIV SHOULD HAVE BEEN is coming soon.

I can't say I've bought into it 100%, and I did forswear FFXIV off for the rest of my life, however I am intrigued. So intrigued I'm even considering giving it a chance. I feel Square's pain, and I even feel a little sorry for them.

I'm looking forward to future gameplay trailers and more info on the basics of characters (but most importantly the questing experience). Maybe only then, this long time FF die-hard fan will be convinced.

Available for PC and PS3 only. That leaves us Xbox junkies out. Too bad, it does look good.
