Assassin’s Creed IV Story DLC Coming Later This Month

Get into your Freedom Cry starting December 17th.

December is usually a slow month for video games, but Ubisoft has assured it’ll be anything but a dormant time, as an ad for the first DLC for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag has been revealed in the new Game Informer magazine.

Titled Freedom Cry, the DLC will arrive on December 17th. This story-based content will focus on Adewale, a former slave who now acts as the second-in-command for Captain Edward Kenway. The content will take place 15 years following the events of the main campaign, with nine missions that total more than four hours of content.

The DLC is currently planned for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, but there’s no word yet on PC or Wii U. Chances are they’ll see it at one point or another, though.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is available now for all major game systems.
