First up is the award-winning 2011 sequel Batman: Arkham City, which pits the Dark Knight against a number of formidable foes as he battles within a confined prison. This game should be available free of charge starting this Tuesday, April 1st. No foolin’!

Meanwhile, PlayStation 4 owners will get their own little freebie this Tuesday – the indie side-scrolling shooter Mercenary Kings. Players choose from a number of soldiers and then let loose with weapons and goods galore.

Other games that will be available over the month include Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, Sega’s awesome reboot of the classic Genesis side-scroller; PixelJunk Monsters Ultimate HD for PS Vita; Stealth Inc. A Clone In the Dark for PS3 and Vita; and Velocity Ultra for Vita.

If you’re not a subscriber yet, you might want to jump on board. It’s not every day you get a stellar game like Arkham City for free.
