It’s been rumored for some time now that Electronic Arts has been set to reveal a new Premium set-up plan for its popular Battlefield 3 shooter, and now, thanks to a leaked German press release document, it’s pretty much happening.

Battlefield 3: Premium is a new service that is set to introduce a number of exclusive items and events for players who are willing to plunk down a one-time $50 fee.

In this package, users will be able to download all five downloadable map packs – Back To Karkand, Close Quarters (which is releasing in June), Armored Kill, Aftermath and End Game – along with additional goodies, including in-game knife and dog tags, camos, the ability to reset stats (for some reason) and exclusive events and Double XP weekends.  Additional bonus content and bonuses are also included and should be available later this year.
