Disney’s Fantasia: Music Evolved already has a star-studded soundtrack, ranging from Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out of Heaven” to Queen’s classic “Bohemian Rhapsody.” However, that didn’t stop the developers at Harmonix from signing the right composer for the job – Inon Zur.
This maestro, who worked on such games as Fallout 3 and Dragon Age: Origins, will work on new orchestral versions of classic songs for the game, including Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons: Winter: First Movement” and Mussorgsky’s “Night On Bald Mountain.” He’ll also put together orchestral versions of popular songs in the game, including “Rhapsody.”
“Working with a versatile composer like Inon Zur was critical to developing the innovative type of gameplay we are introducing with ‘Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved’,” said Eran Egozy, co-founder and chief technical officer of Harmonix Music Systems. “Zur’s innate understanding of music’s role in gaming allowed us to create original arrangements that will let players experience music like never before.”
