Disney Infinity Wii - 2 player question

Asked about Disney Infinity 1.0 & 2.0 Editions on Aug. 19, 2013, 12:05 p.m. by infinity123

Our Infinity Wii game only lets one character into each Playset at a time. For example; only Mike can go in and not Sulley into Monsters. We get a message saying, "A player will be dropped when you continue." Aren't we supposed to be able to have two players in this game? I have friends who have it for XBox and don't have this problem. Please help! I have three boys and we need to play together!

Really weird! You should be able to get into the Play Set with both Sulley and Mike. I can do it on my Xbox 360. Have you tried this website ? (https://infinity.disney.com/help)

I spoke to the Infinity Helpdesk and they told me that for the Wii, the only co-op play was in the Toy Box and that two players could not play together in the story mode due to Wii platform restrictions. Needless to say, the kids were so disappointed and we returned the extra game pieces to the store and only kept the starter pack for the youngest boy. We will not be buying any more characters either. I believe the Skylanders are far superior since they allow for multiple players and the characters upgrades are kept and not depended on power discs that you need to buy extra. Disney Infinity is a real let-down.

My 7 year old son used his birthday money to buy disney infinity. I bought him a triple pack because the man in the shop said if you buy a three pack with the starter pack you wii have 6 figures and you will be able to play in 3 worlds as two players.

My son is so disappointed that you cannot play 2 player. What a rip off!!! It should clearly say on the Wii box that this console does not support 2 players.

I just found out too that on the Wii you can not do any type of multiplayer except for in the Toy Box and then you can only do local multiplayer with no more than 2 characters.

I read the FAQ multiple times and while I was able to dicipher from the intentionally vague FAQ comments about the Wii that you couldn't get online and download other toy box creations. I did not realize this fact about no multiplayer in play sets on the Wii.

My two boys even went out and bought a second pirate character so they could play the pirate play set together, but only after even more digging we found out you can't play together... I agree with jojoBeans that it should be clearly marked that for the Wii that there IS NO MULTIPLAYER outside of the Toy Box and there is NO WAY to Download additional content. We may have to take it back and get the new SkyLanders.

My grandson has the xbox at his house and ask me if we could get disney infinity for the wii at my house. We went to play 2 player and found out that the wii would not allow 2player except in toy box. How disappointing. Disney really missed up on this one.
