On the BioWare's official Dragon Age website, the team officially announced the forthcoming Dragon Age III: Inquisition which is slated for release in late 2013. Executive producer Mark Derrah stated the game is being developed with "a lot" of the same team that made the first two games and spin-offs and it is using the same Frostbite 2 technology that's powering Battlefield 3 and the forthcoming Medal of Honor: Warfighter.

"The Dragon Age team has been working on Dragon Age 3: Inquisition for almost two years now," said Aaryn Flynn, BioWare General Manager. "We've been poring over player feedback from past games and connecting directly with our fans. They haven't held back, so we're not either. With Dragon Age 3: Inquisition, we want to give fans what they're asking for – a great story with choices that matter, a massive world to explore, deep customization and combat that is both tactical and visceral."

Unfortunately, platforms weren't announced yet – it will probably release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 so that players can use save data from the first two games, but it's unknown if it will see a release on Wii U or the next consoles from Microsoft and Sony. We'll find out soon enough, so stick around for more info…
