Is +X% elemental damage still capped at 30%?08/09/11By 100010111010

New player here, I have DA:O Ultimate Edition, so version 1.04. Does anyone know if the "+X% elemental damage" modifier is still capped at 30%? I also heard the cap was 50% for Awakening.

If so, is that cap hardcoded in the game, or is it something scripted that can be changed with a mod?
