DRAGON AGE: ORIGINS

Beans spilled on Dragon Age expansion 01/05/10By Dan Page

EA have officially revealed their Dragon Age: Origins expansion, it’s to be titled Awakening and is coming 16th March to 360, PS3 and PC.

The expansion will require the original game to play and is priced at $39.99.

Awakening is set post-Origins and allows the use of previous heroes from saves of old or new exclusive characters. Players are tasked to regain some kind of order at Vigil’s Keep as Grey Warden Commander. There are a total of five new playable characters in Awakening.

Also included is a raise on the game’s level-cap, a free chance to re-spec your character, plus new abilities, spells and specializations. And, of course, there’s a load of new swag to grab.

The expansion throws players into a quest to find out how the darkspawn are surviving without the Archdemon. There may even be an encounter with the enigmatic Architect. Awakening is set to be filled full of new, evolved darkspawn including the Inferno Golem and the Spectral Dragon.

There’s a load more on Dragon Age: Origins at the game’s hub, which we’ll keep updating with more on all the DLC BioWare are planning to bring out.
