BioWare have brought out the Dragon Age: Origins tool set they promised for PC users to download for free from their site.

The toolset gives modders a chance to create new quests, campaigns, cinematics and so on. Users are given the option to use the Dragon Age artwork or anything else they might choose to source or create.

Also included are the same voice and lip-syncing tools used by the developers and the AI can even be manipulated in combat.

All in all this offers a huge amount of opportunity for budding RPG makers and those who just want a look around the game’s inner workings.

The clever developers have had the foresight to incorporate their BioWare Social Network in such a way that it will allow modders to upload, show-off, chat and share their creations with other modders. The site will also host tutorials and content updates.

BioWare are hoping to create the same kind of community they had when they took a similar approach with their previous title Neverwinter Nights.
