Dust 514 Celebrates Independence Day with Early Beta

Published 2 years, 5 months ago by Dan Page

The second Dust 514 beta has begun a day early as a celebration of Independence Day, which is now, so go play it!

The tester runs up until July 8th, if you’d like to sign up then head on over to the game's website.

There’s a whole new map added this time round so have a look see, EVE fan or not.

Dust 514 is a free-to-play multiplayer first-person shooter that ties into the world of EVE Online in ways much deeper than most tie-ins manage. Real-time events triggered in EVE, such as bomb drops onto planets, will have direct and immediate impacts on 514.

The kind of interactivity seen in the title is pretty revolutionary and, despite whether it does well or not, could have much wider implications for the future of gaming, specifically in the fields of cross-platform and cross-game play.
