01/08/12 - it happens on xbox too, although ive heard its worse on ps3 due to the dual memory. the more clutter you have, such as items in your invy and house and the higher level your character is the more of a problem it becomes apparently. the newest update should have helped a little. i know its become a lot less frequent with me playing xbox. im lvl 61 and have 3 houses.

12/27/11 - From what hear allot of people are having a similar problem. From what I have seen they are working on a patch that is probably related to your problem. Just make sure everything is updated.

12/28/11 - yes mine has been doing so after i downloaded the 1.03 i play for a hour or so and the screen freezes. i then have to do a hard restart on the ps3

01/10/12 - Your console must be low on memory then. I just added a new hdd to my old PS3 and the game is playing fast and true... and I too have been playing this game daily on the average of 5 hours a day. Skyrim was released with a few bugs and freezing has been a reported problem for many players on all consoles (including Xbox and pc). but one thing you can try to do is continually tapping the active "home" button in the center of the controller to see if it takes you to the menu screen (the screen where you can turn off controller or the console or go back to gameplay).

12/30/11 - SSorry to hear that....I havent had that issue though. I sometimes play for anywhere from 5 hours to 8 or 9 hours straight. My PS3 is fairly new though ( old one died )..Well I wish u the best.
