Leveling Difficutlies02/13/12By PrimaJamie

Original Post by User:
So the other day, I was playing Skyrim. I had gotten to level 18, and I started to do this one mission but I couldn't complete it. The reason was because there was a witch that kept killing me in two hits because she was a high level as well. Do you have any tips on what I should do to get stronger than her?

04/25/12 - you could level non-combat skills and use the skill-points to select useful perks in the skill constellation that you think would best assist you in your endeavor.leveling your smithing is as easy as making iron daggers. enchanting is as easy as using staffs and filling them back up with soul gems. Speaking of staffs if you get the wabbajack from doing the quest for the deadric prince of madness (sheogorath) in solitude it has a chance of giving instant death to enemies ... or turning them into a sweet-roll.... or a pile of coins... or it could just damage them with random magic .ANYWAY its a very useful staff. I personally use it often and it helps with my character that I've done nothing but master level since the beginning of the game regardless of my situation. Just a word of warning though, it just as easily turns your enemy into some other type of creature so be ready to load back a couple of times just to get the desired effect that you want. Save Often. mboochin out.

03/30/12 - Finally, if all else fails, you can adjust the difficulty down to get past this fight.
03/29/12 - I would get the shield from the peryite shrine quest, it puts up a ward when you use it, and get some kind of high damage 1 handed weapon(Chillrend from the thieves guild quest line. or one that's shock enchanted to lower mana) or spell(Fireball is my favorite, but if you don't have that sparks or Frostbite. Sparks is electric so it drains Magicka, Frostbite is cold so it lowers Endurance) to take them out. if that doesn't work, go super stealth and use a Bow.
02/25/12 - well in skyrim every thing levels with you sooo you can maybe get like a what ever type of witch it is ressistant potion and maybe some armor with the same thing and like he or she said use a bow try to sneak so the bow does more damage or even get up smithing so you have better weapons and armor

02/24/12 - Depending on your character style, you should go on the defensive. If you are a mage, utilize the oakflesh, stoneflesh, ironflesh etc. spells. They boost your defense alot. Then use ranged spells like firebolt and ice spike. If you are a sword and board type (best phrase ever amirite?) you should get a shield with high defense. I'm assuming it's a hagraven you're dealing with so use one resistant to fire. Maybe enchant your armor too if needed. Finally, if you are a stealth type, USE A BOW!!! That is the best weapon to use against any tough opponent. I died three times fighting a dwarven centurian master and then when I used a bow, it was dead before it took three steps my way. Poisons are your friend in this situation. Hagravens use their magic at a distance and their claws up close. Work out a strategy with this info. I'm going to take another guess and say you're workimg on mBlessings of Nature'? Of course one last solution is to just try to sneak up and take Nettlebane. Or run as fast as you can up there, grab it and book it as fast as possible. That might work too, I guess. If I guessed wrong on any part of this, the information is still as good as any in any kind of combat situation. If this still doesn't help, try putting the quest aside and wait until you are a couple levels stronger. Blacksmithing is a god way to grind for exp. - <({})> Xildinoth Wolf order 19, hunter class
