03/30/12 - You certainly can. I don’t worry too much about choosing only the race with the most beneficial tendencies to become a “wizard” anyway. With adventuring and honing your skills, plus choosing the correct combination of perks, your slight Nordic inadequacies soon become insignificant at higher levels. The best advice is to check out the Archetypes (on page 23 of the guide – apologies for the shameless plug!) for the Spellsword and Battlemage. Those are character types we created (they aren’t “in the game”) so you can maximize both spells and swordplay.
