Other Elder Scrolls games?03/30/12By KenLivingston

Have you played The Elder Scrolls: Arena or The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall? If you were to write a guide for those games today, how many pages do you think they would be?

03/30/12 - Oh, no. I'd be reading those too. I love game guides in general and I'll read them even if I don't have the game! I enjoy learning about games and their worlds even if I'm never going to play them. I own several guides without the games they are for and some for which I no longer have or play the game. Sadly, guides can't always compensate for my poor gaming/keyboarding skills, so I can also "play" them vicariously by reading the guides.
03/30/12 - Agreed -- I enjoy the crisp flick of a page turn. However, we would be the only two people reading it... :)
03/30/12 - Actually, I would buy a guide for an older game if it had a lot of information on it. I know in this day and age everyone's telling you to go to that game website with the FAQs and stuff, but I like having a physical book to hold and read. And the bigger the book, the better. :)
03/30/12 - Heh! That’s going back a bit! Back in the 1990s, of course, it was a “wild west” where unofficial guides came out all the time. My guides tend to be a trifle “verbose” (Skyrim’s was around 550,000 words), but I think a good 300-400 page tome for each of those earlier games would suffice. However, there’s little call for guides on games of yesteryear.
