ive noticed that if u continue to make leather bracers ( one pc of leather, 2 pc leather strips ) u can level up quickly with persistence and a lot of leather. unless u can find dragon armor ( which is extremely rare ) u always have the option to make ur own with a smithing level of 100

06/25/12 - They patched the levels of "xp" earned and now you it takes much longer to level up smithing with daggers or bracers.

01/09/12 - I am an OLD fart (66) and me and my son played age of empire till we got this new game (SKYRIM) wOW What a game this is. I love to read about all the cheats you guys have found. I the (OLD MAN) found torch's in the cave by riverview town that when you go in the torch's are there for the taking. Leave and come back into the cave for all the torch's you can carry. Each time you come back into the cave the torch's are all there again. i HAVE BEEN PLAYING D&D GAME SINCE THERE WAS A VIC-20 COMPUTER. I still have my old vic-20 and old Commerdo 64. Love to chat with anyone. I am new to this type thing tho.

12/22/11 - I have found that the leather armor works quite well to level up your smithing... I'm working my way up to Dragon smithing. The only problem I'm having is where can I find all the ore veins, cause I still need to smelt some objects, if anyone has seen a thread to that question please link it to me or send me a message. Thank you! ps. I am looking for the tread myself as well so no flaming that I am a lazy good for nothing retard that does not know how to search things... Thank you..
12/22/11 - Get up your smithing extremely fast by making Iron Daggers. buy all the iron ingot, iron ores, leather, and leather strips. To make and iron dagger takes one iron ingot and one leather strip. I got my smithing to level 100 in no time.

12/11/11 - Also, if you find youself in dwarven ruins, collect only the bent dwemer scrap metal, and the large and small dwemer plate metal, leave the solid dwemer metal, large decorative dwemer strut, and the large dwemer strut alone as they weigh too much for the amount of ingots you get, and the plain old dwemer scrap metal isn't smeltable, so leave those be as well. One trip in to a decent sized dwarven ruin, and you can easily walk out with 75-150 dwarven ingots worth of bent scrap and plate metal, with those, some steel and iron ingots, and some leather and leather straps, you can send your smithing through the roof. Be sure to improve everything you can as well, as this also bumps your smithing up with every item. Don't grab every item you see when your doing this, as most of the other items that you pick up will only take up space and make it so you can't carry as much metal for smelting.
