Dryside

The eastern edge of the city (which isn’t built over the waters of Lake Honrich) is called Dryside. The bulk of the town is located on Dryside and is split by Riften’s canal.

Most of the more affluent homes are located on the eastern side of the canal, while most of Riften’s shops and the marketplace are located on the western side. The southern portion of the city is dominated by Mistveil Keep and the jail.

A) North Gate

The main gate of Riften, located along the northern wall, sees the most traffic of the city’s three entrances. Foil the Riften guard’s feeble attempts at shaking you down for money. Then speak with Maul, a gruff man waiting just inside the gates.

1) Bolli’s House

This three-floor structure is one of the more impressive houses in Riften, which speaks to Bolli’s station. The Note you’ll find on the bedside cabinet reveals Bolli’s marriage isn’t as successful.
