It’s good to see that the gaming community hasn’t forgotten about how awesome retro titles can be.
Yacht Club Games introduced a new project last month called Shovel Knight. The game has elements of DuckTales, Castlevania and Mega Man wrapped around an entirely new design, featuring a valiant knight who uses a shovel to battle thugs and bounce around like Scrooge McDuck did in DuckTales. The initial goal that the team was looking for on KickStarter was $75,000. However, the final tally confirmed over the weekend was over $300,000 – so it was a huge success.
