Final Fantasy X HD Resurfaces For PS Vita In Japan

A U.S. release is very likely, though dates haven't been given as of yet.

Bad news: you aren’t getting that Final Fantasy VII HD remake that you desperately want.  Good news: Square Enix is giving you another remake to pass the time with while you feverishly wait.

Last night, during a special PS Vita presentation taking place online in Japan (though we viewed it here with no problem), Square Enix unveiled some new footage for the recently announced HD remake of Final Fantasy X, the PlayStation 2 RPG that sold significantly well for the company.

Though no in-game combat was featured in the brief clip, we did get a better look at the texture work that the company was putting into the game, with in-game characters looking sharper than ever – even up close.  There’s no question that fans will flock to this game when it’s released for both Vita and PlayStation 3 sometime in the future – though there’s no release date as of yet.  Later this year perhaps?

You can watch the brief clip below.
