Game of Thrones has become quite the phenomenon in three seasons running on HBO, with a fourth due to arrive in 2014. In the meantime, fans have an independently produced video game they can pass the time with.

Abel Alves, a Spanish comic artist living in Uruguay, has produced an 8-bit action game based on Game of Thrones. While not licensed by HBO, it does feature a number of characters and scenarios from the hit series and books, including John Snow and the Wall.
