Gunsmith has a bewildering array of weapon customization options, but there are some you can;t afford to miss out on if you want to own the battlefield. Options like paint are obviously not essential, but there are a few options you cannot afford to miss out on.
The first one is the ##Trigger Options##. Once you've selected your preferred weapon always check the trigger options. Some weapons will have triggers that can go from single shot to full auto just by double tapping - this is awesome for customization mid to long range weapon that will also be valuable for those unexpected close quarter encounters!
The second customization your are going to want to fine tune is the ##Gas System##. Some people are going to want their weapon spitting out as many shells as possible, thinking that this will increase their chance of hitting the target. The fact is though, that the more high pressure gas you use, the more the weapon will be jumping around in your hands like a hot potato and the fire spread rate will be ridiculous. Lower the gas system until the spread is tight, and you'll have far more success.
Try it out in the testing area before launching into the game, you'll notice an immediate improvement in your ability to drop targets.
