The Scout is probably one of the first character classes most people will try when playing Ghost Recon future Soldier for the first time. Why is this?

It's because of the amazingly cool optical camo that's why!

But the optical camo is not the only reason you can succeed as a Scout. The Scout is the intel guy, so as Scout it is your job to gain intel on the enemy, and for doing so you are well rewarded.

One major way of doing this is Stun and Hack! Don't kill your foe, stun him, then data hack him to gain intel and points. Remember you optical camo can be engaged while you are data hacking, to afford you some protection during what is a dangerous move that can render you exposed to enemy attack.

Succesfully pulling this move off will rack up thousands of points very quickly, and you'll also gain points for every kill that is made due to the intel you expose, so practice and reap the benefits of data hacking.

07/03/12 - Exactly right Corcor, plus, if anyone can't see a scout when the optical camo is up they need they're eyes checked! Doesn't provide much cover in my opinion.....kickass SMGs though!

06/20/12 - Doesn't your optical camo disengage as soon as you begin any action. I believe that after any action that I took other than movement or releasing drone I had to re-engage the camo.

05/23/12 - Correction the scout is not the intel guy that is the engineer. The scout is used for long range support and infiltrating enemy lines. Also the scouts optical camo does not aid while hacking because when you start a hack you are detected until your done hacking.
