Instead of retracing your steps back through the cell block, pass through the boiler room directly across the hall from Volodin’s cell. This is connected to a narrow passage that leads directly to a lift. However, when you reach the end of the corridor, pause before ascending the steep flight of stairs on the left. There’s a rifleman patrolling here. If you can’t spot him, toss a Sensor toward the top of the stairs. Wait for the rifleman to begin descending the stairs, then shoot him with your suppressed SMG. Carefully scout the area at the top of the stairs, then turn right to enter a lift leading to the surface. Soon after Kozak and Volodin enter the lift, Overlord reports that the air strike is about to begin. Seconds later, a series of loud explosions rock the prison facility, causing the elevator shaft to shudder under the concussive blasts.
