Ever since its launch on Tuesday, Grand Theft Auto Online has run into a number of server problems, forcing some players to continuously try to log in to it. Rockstar is aware of the issue, though, and has a new solution that’s taking affect today.
The company has released a new patch for the PlayStation 3 version of Grand Theft Auto 5, which will automatically prompt the next time you start a game. An Xbox 360 version will be released later this afternoon as well.
Regarding the patch, Rockstar Games made the following statement:
“Thank you everyone for continuing to bear with us since Tuesday’s initial roll out of Grand Theft Auto Online — we’re aware that a variety of technical difficulties have made it difficult to get access and that the experience has been a bit less than smooth for many of you who jumped in straight away.”
“All of these initial technical issues will be ironed out as soon as we can,” Rockstar wrote. “Please know that the entire team here at Rockstar and all of our relevant partners are and will continue to be working around the clock to get the experience to be as smooth as possible, as soon as possible.”
More issues are being ironed out, but at least progress is being made.
