GTA 5 Online: Base Jumping Tips

Head to the skies and challenge your friends with a parachute in hand!

Once you reach a high enough rank in Grand Theft Auto Online, you’ll gain access to a variety of new activities. One such activity is base jumping. You can do this via missions and invite friends, or from various locations throughout Los Santos. There are a few tips that can help you when you’re trying to race your friends to the ground, so listen up. We don’t want you breaking a leg or anything.

In most cases, you want to pull your shoot as quickly as possible when you’re racing to the ground. You have much more mobility when your shoot is out compared to a free fall. Press Up on the analog stick to descend at a faster rate, and press down to descend slower. You can also press L1 and R1, or the right and left bumpers to use the air break and slow your forward momentum significantly.
