Taking a seat in the director’s chair is Tim Miller, known mainly for his visual effects work on Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. David Fincher, director of Se7en, Fight Club, Alien 3 and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (and a shedload more) has taken on the role of executive producer.

The trailer will air during the October 18 episode of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, that’s a little before the November 6 release of Halo 4. You’ll be able to catch it on the Xbox YouTube channel and Halo Waypoint immediately after the premier airs.

The trailer has been dubbed “Scanned”, and follows the backstory of the Master Chief while giving viewers a little look at the “threat” you’ll encounter in Halo 4.
