Square Enix has confirmed today that the long-awaited sequel Hitman Absolution, in development over at IO Interactive, will ship in time for the holiday season.  The game is expected on November 20 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

In addition, the company also confirmed what we had previously reported the other day – a special downloadable Sniper Challenge game will be available for those who pre-order the game as a bonus provided through GameStop.  Simple head to one of their locations and plop down money on the game, and you can take part in the leaderboard-supported bonus activity.

It’s nice to see that Square Enix is putting such a solid push behind the title.  Now we just need to see ifAgent 47 can stand up to Master Chief and Black Ops II this holiday season!
