WB Games was supposedly set to reveal the first of the downloadable characters for Injustice: Gods Among Us yesterday during a live “final battle” feed that tied in with the launch of the game, but the tragedy from yesterday’s Boston explosions set that aside for now. But that didn’t stop us from catching a glimpse of who’s coming to the game first…
A tweet from Netherrealm Studios creative director Ed Boon had a cover from a Lobo comic book, indicating that the ruthless alien bounty hunter could be the first of four additions to the game.
Lobo has fought with heroes quite a bit over the years, tussling with Batman and Superman quite a bit as well as Green Lantern and Wonder Woman. He’s as tough as he looks, and his alien powers give him a boost in combat as well. He’ll definitely work well with the in-game roster.
No word yet on when Lobo will be arriving, but he’s part of the Season Pass package that went on sale with the release of the game. You can get that now for 1200 Microsoft points ($15), which will net you four playable characters in the game and alternate skins for existing players.
Injustice: Gods Among Us is available now for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U.
