Following the successful release of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix last month, Square Enix is set to return to the land of Disney for a sequel next year.

The company has announced the forthcoming Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix, which will release sometime in 2014. A new trailer for the package has been revealed, and can be seen below.

In this follow-up, players will be able to experience Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, which originally released on the PlayStation 2 in Japan and will make its debut in the U.S. with this release. On top of that, the HD Remix package will also include Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix – another exclusive from Japan – and select HD remastered cinematics from Kingdom Hearts Re:coded.

We’ll have more coverage on this upcoming sequel in the months ahead. If you’re a fan of the series, though, you’re no doubt loving this news.
