Cannot enter Lake Floria!06/30/12By alwhysall

So I'm returning to Skyward Sword after a couple of really hectic months.

I have got the Water Dragon's scale, and in the past I'd scaled the tree and spoke to the guy at the top.

I've looked on walkthroughs and then I'm supposed to go to the X he puts on my map to see the pattern I'm then supposed to draw with my sword on the door to Floria. But no X on map, and nothing happens at the door to Floria!

The guy at the top of tree is constantly snoring now so I can't talk to him again!

Any advice out there! Thanks in advance.

08/25/12 - You could try what Shogun Warrior says or you could possibly just be drawing the circle wrong. Try drawing it again.

07/02/12 - First, use whatever walkthrough you're consulting to walk back through the Great Tree sequence from the beginning. This can help you make sure you haven't accidentally skipped over an event flag that might be holding up the sequence. When you reach the old hermit, try firing at him with your slingshot. See if, after a few shots, he's willing to talk to you again. If you don't have the red X on your map, then it should still be possible to trigger another conversation scene with him that unlocks it.
