If you’re not ready to make the leap to 3D just yet, Nintendo just made the previous DS models a bit easier to obtain by slashing prices on the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL.

The DSi, the two-screen system that comes in a multitude of colors, will drop in price from $149.99 to $99.99, spreading its touch-screen love to the masses.  If you prefer something a little bit bigger, the DSi XL will also be dropping in price from $170 to $129.99, a $40 savings.  Both price launches are set to take place on May 20, giving you more than enough reason to invest in the handhelds if you haven’t already.

The DSi, while not as popularly supported as the 3DS system, continues to be a strong handheld for the company with a number of great games available, including Mario Kart DS and the Mario and Luigi games.  And this isn’t including the DSiWare games that are available for download like Cave Story, Shantae: Risky’s Revenge and others.

So wait a few more days and get one for yourself!
