According to Bioware, the Engineer is the least used class in Mass Effect 2. This is understandable, as, on paper, their powers don't sound very interesting. In this guide I'll give you some reasons why playing Engineer is a thrilling and satisfying experience, and more importantly, strategies and tips for all their powers, and advice on what weapons to use. Hopefully my guide will shed light on why Engineer is my favorite class!
My favorite class in Mass Effect 2 would have to be Soldier. It's simple, yet effective. And seeing as how there aren't many other Soldier class characters in your list of squad mates, I believe that being a Soldier is a good choice for myself.
The first play-through on Insanity was not entirely easy, but a walk in the park compared to some of the other classes. A strong character style with well rounded teammates can make even the most difficult settings like a picnic next to the sea.
How I set up my Sentinel and were my points were spent. If ya want a good sturdy class to make it through Insanity mode for the achievement with out to much of an issue. Got me through it and with only 2 deaths (ran into the open like an idiot).
My favorite class, like everyone else, is the soldier class. It's probably the most well liked because it's arguably the best. With usage of every type of weapon except SMGs it has a lot of tactical variation to match your play type. With all this variation, it's easy to see why it's the best. Getting long ranged by a biotic or Geth? Pull out your sniper! Getting charged by a Krogan with a shotgun? Pull out your shotgun and duke it out!
These note are based off of my Insanity playthrough and while they did eventually get me through the game, they are the way that I prefer to play so keep that in mind when trying them out for yourself.
So, you want to be an Infiltrator. Yes, you do. Here's why..
While every class is fun in its own unique way, (I've played through everything but Soldier at this point) I always have a good time playing as an Infiltrator. If you're going down that path, I hope this guide proves helpful.
How to take down enemies with a Soldier, a Professor, and a Badass
Have you found yourself in a bind? Out of bullets, Enemies *everywhere*, and Team Mates down for the count? It sounds to me like someone is playing a class other then Soldier, you naughty naughty player! Don't fret though! With this guide, I will give you just **one** strategy for being the best Soldier you can be with Garrus and Mordin as your Selected Team mates.
Here is my personal strategy for tackling groups of enemies in Mass Effect 2, and this strategy is specifically aimed for Area of Effect damage. My team composition is a Sentinel class Shepard, Mordin Solus, and Zaeed Massani.
