Soldier Class Guide

All of my playthrough of Mass Effect 2 have been with the soldier class, like most of people. I mainly use an assault rifle (the Reveant from the Collector's ship) with Incindiary ammo. So the first thing I do is evolve Incindiary ammo in to Inferno Ammo (I mainly focus on my own player so i don't evolve squd ammo, I develop my character for Me, not for the benefit for the other squad mates). So here are the powers I spend points on: -Adrenalin Rush, evolving it in to Hardened Adrenalin Rush. Because i like the less heath damage I take. -Disruptor Ammo, evolving it in to Heavy Disruptor Ammo. Because there are alot of syntetic enemies or enemies with shields in the game and this does pretty good damage on them. -Incindiary Ammo, evolving it in to Inferno Ammo. This is mainly the power I use, even versus shields and bariers. -I evolve also Shock Trooper, because of the +100% Paragon/Renegade. -I don't usualy use the bonus power I get from the loyalty of the squadmates. But i choose Geth Sield Boos and evolve it in to Improved Geth Shield Boost because of the +10.00% damage.

I dont even tuch the Cryo Ammo and the Concussive Shot, because I find Inferno Ammo the most effective. It stops health regeneration and if and enemy is on fire he starts to panic and stops shooting until he burns to death or the fire goes out.

Using the Revenant or any assault rifle means that I have to be close to the action for the weapon to have any effect. I reload frequently, to be sure I always have a full clip. I Always move from cover to cover, never coming in to the open until every one are dead or I have to get in closer for the kill.

I don't usualy use my squadmates. I set their powers to active and let them fight on their own. Only on Higher dificulty do I use them more actively. Moving them to cover and coloser to the enemy for distraction and frequently using their powers against enemies. And if there is a barrel of something explosive I usualy go for that first. And for the more tougher enemies or if an enemy is right on top of me, or I have to move from cover to cover under heavy fire I use the Adrenalin Rush to take care of that troublesome enemy very quickly.

When an enemy is realy far away I sometimes use the sniper rifle, prefelably the Widow Anti-matrereal rifle or the Matis rifle, because of their high damage per shot and Adrenalin Rush gives me time to line up the prefect head shot.

So my main strategy is simply to stay in cover and kill the enemy before he gets too close. I don't use shotguns or pistols unless i'm out of ammo, but with the Revenant Assault rifle that hardly ever happens, exept on Insanity difficulty.
