The Vanguard class is my favorite in Mass Effect 2, and the best way to go about playing this class is...well, it's already explained in the game during a conversation between a renegade Commander Shepard and the Volus biotic god, Niftu Cal.

No matter what situation you find yourself in, just do what Shepard apathetically tells the biotic god to do...
