I always pick the Infiltrator class when starting a new game. Why? To me it is the most well rounded class out there. Let me explain why I believe this.

The Infiltrator class is well balanced, with an emphasis on electrical and synthetic modes of combat. Against enemies with shields or who are synthetic, abilities such as the Disruptor Ammo, which tears through synthetics and shields, & AI hack, which rewrites synthetics briefly to fight for you, both help even the odds against synthetics and engineers (and normal shields).

There are also moves that address other types of enemies, such as Incinerate which is made to burn away enemies armor, or even deal massive damage to organics without protection. Tactical Cloak is another powerful move, which is exclusive to the Infiltrator class. It makes you temporarily invisible, and if you decide to shoot someone while cloaked you deal additional damage, even more so if you're using a sniper!

Weapon wise, it has a respectable load out, having the Sniper Rifle, Heavy Pistols, Sub-Machine Guns, and Heavy Weapons.

Let me give you an example of how I use it. I like to focus on Disruptor ammo, Incinerate, Operative and my bonus power (I always choose Slam) These abilities, when maxed out, allow me to quickly shred through all defenses, while allowing me to cripple and greatly damage enemies through Slam (which has a 3 second recharge rate once fully upgraded). This, coupled with me sniping, quickly kills off enemies with ease. The Heavy Pistol's and Sub-Machine Gun's are adequate back-up guns, and I often rely on my Locust SMG (from Kasumi's DLC) to kill most enemies to conserve on sniper ammunition. I use Tactical cloak to help me escape rough situations mostly, as the cool down can be a bit long (6 to 9 seconds depending on how much you level it up).

If you are feeling that the lack of one of your favorite weapons is keeping you from this class, don't. Once you board the Collector ship during the game, you can add either the Assault Rifle or Shotgun to your arsenal, thus increasing your repertoire. You even have the choice to get one of the strongest weapons in the game, the Widow anti-material Sniper Rifle! This bad boy tears through armor, shields & barriers, killing most enemies with a single shot to the head!

I love the Infiltrator class, it suits me like a glove. It is able to be modified to address all forms of opposition I may encounter, all the while staying simple and enjoyable. So I urge you my fellow gamers, choose the Infiltrator class today!
