Insanity Guide02/14/12
How I beat Mass Effect 2 on Insanity
Rate this eGuide
I used a pretty simple strategy to complete the game on Insanity. I recommend using Soldier as your class. When leveling up, I first maxed out the Combat Mastery tree and evolved it into Shock Trooper.
The next power i focused on was evolving Incendiary Ammo into Inferno Ammo. By acquiring Inferno Ammo, it will greatly help when enemies have armor, barriers, or shields. I also used the Cerberus Assault armor for added Heavy Weapon ammo, health bonuses, and shield strength.
I recommend using a squad made up of Mordin & Miranda. For both squad mates, I first leveled their Class power. I evolved Mordin's Salarian Scientist power into Salarian Genius, due to the fact that he cannot take as much damage as other squad mates.
Also Mordin's Incinerate power really helps burn through enemy armor and damage enemies that have neither shields or barriers. I evolved Incinerate into Incineration Blast so it could harm multiple enemies.
I evolved Miranda's Class power (Cerberus Officer) into Cerberus Tactician so that the squad would benefit from health bonuses. Next, I would recommend focusing on leveling Warp to help against enemies with barriers and eventually evolve it into Heavy Warp due to enemies generally not being clustered when they have barriers. Also make sure you use Miranda's Overload ability when facing enemies with shields.
Once you have leveled the above squad powers, Mass Effect 2 on Insanity should be a breeze.
