Strategy for my three favourite classes04/15/12
After playing with each character and race on Gold, I've finally come to a conclusion on what my favourite builds are for each class. Here are my top 3.

My three favourite classes and strategies for them.
Quarian: Infiltrator Tactical Cloak: Damage, Recharge Speed, Sniper Damage (6) Sticky Grenade: N/A Sabotage: Duration, Recharge Speed, Berserk (6) Quarian Defender: Damage & Capacity, Headshots, Weapon Damage (6) Fitness: Durability, Shield Recharge, Fitness Expert (6) Weapon: Widow/Black Widow
The standard weapon for this build is the Widow, but I was lucky enough to unlock the Black Widow, which has proved substantially more effective. This build works flawlessly against Geth. The idea is to cloak and hack pyros while scoped then immediately fire a bullet so you get the bonus damage and cooldown reset for your cloak while pulling off a hack. I usually cloak after every reload. Time it right, and you can cancel half your reload time with your cloak. On gold, I usually finish top against Geth with about 120,000 points. This build has limited effectiveness against Cerberus, as you can hack the Atlas mechs and turrets. I've tried it against Reapers, but found it to be almost useless.
Human: Vanguard Biotic Charge: Radius, Power Synergy, Barrier (6) Shockwave: N/A Nova: Force & Damage, Half Blast, Pierce (6) Alliance Training: Damage & Capacity, Power Damage, Weapon Damage (6) Fitness: Durability, Shield Recharge, Fitness Expert (6) Weapon: M-3 Predator
The all-purpose, all annoying human vanguard! While this relies on some kind of careful play, it typically consists of biotic charging a group, using nova, using nova again, but this time with a roll cancel and charging again. Done right, I've ended up as the top scorer on gold everytime. Done wrong, and you'll die quicker than you can say "BANSHEE!" Either way, your team mates will hate and respect you for this one. :)
Turian: Soldier Marksman: Firing Rate, Headshots, Accuracy & Firing Rate (6) Concussive Shot: N/A Proximity Mine: Damage, Damage Taken, Damage (6) Turian Veteran: Damage & Stability, Headshots, Damage & Stability (6) Fitness: Durability, Shield Recharge, Fitness Expert (6) Weapon: Phaeston
It may seem like an odd choice, but this quickly became my favourite build. It really works with any gun you like, but I used the Phaeston out of preference. The idea here is to stick to cover, fire up Marksman, and watch the headshots roll in. When played with extreme caution, I've finished top on Gold with roughly 90,000 points and an insane amount of headshots. Proximity Mine is pretty situational, but there was really no where else to put the points. Plus it occasionally has its use against Phantoms and Banshees.
