BioWare announces FREE Mass Effect 3 Resurgence Pack DLC04/06/12By Prima Games

By now you’ve heard about BioWare’s plans to release Extended Cut DLC for Mass Effect 3. Now prepare yourself for next week’s release of (wait for it…) Mass Effect 3’s FREE Resurgence Pack DLC.

The new free multiplayer DLC pack will include new weapons, new races, and two whole new maps. Here’s the run-down.

Maps

Two new maps will be released: 

  • Firebase Condor 
  • Firebase Hydra

 

Characters

Six new characters are introduced.

  • The geth Infiltrator 
  • The geth Engineer
  • The batarian Sentinel
  • The batarian Soldier
  • A krogan Vanguard
  • An asari Justicar Adept

Previews for each race coming soon!

Weapons

  • Striker Assault Rifle - Krogan rifle with explosive rounds. Its rate of fire increases when the trigger is held.
  • Kishock Harpoon Gun - Deadly one-shot baratian weaopn. Causes bleed-out or disruption of target.
  • Geth Plasma SMG - Fully-automatic geth submachine gun. Its rate of fire increases when the trigger is held.

The Resurgence Pack DLC releases April 10th on Xbox Live, Orgin, and the PlayStation Network.

04/07/12 - well you never know i mean im pretty sure bioware has already thought of all those you have listed, considering the DLC is free they might have put a little somthing more in the maps we dont know about i mean come on they still have to surprise us with somthing we dont know about the DLC =P seriously though im so excited and gratful that the DLC is free considering the new characters and weapons =) thank you bioware you have made me a happy camper. (haha)

04/07/12 - They need to come out with a multiplayer DLC with new missions within the maps and maybe even a higher level cap because getting to level 20 is extremly easy. Also new bonuses should be given to promoted characters to reward players who no longer wish to play the campaign.
