Free Mass Effect 3 Earth DLC Gets Release Date

Published 3 years ago by Dan Page

Microsoft has confirmed Mass Effect 3’s free Xbox 360 multiplayer Earth update is coming next week.

The third expansion to the game’s multiplayer will be available as a free download on July 17th. PC and PlayStation 3 owners need to hold out a little longer.

The news arrives via Microsoft’s Larry Major Nelson Hyrb. BioWare hasn’t yet spoken on the matter/

A product listing was spotted last week (thanks Eurogamer/Reddit) mentioned three new maps and six new classes.

"Mass Effect 3: Earth: The fighting is fiercest when it's your home at stake!" the description read. "Mass Effect 3: Earth adds mods, gear, and new maps for Rio, Vancouver, and London. It features three new weapons: Piranha assault shotgun, Acolyte pistol and Typhoon light machine gun. Six new human N7 classes are also available: Destroyer, Paladin, Demolisher, Slayer, Shadow and Fury!"

There’s likely to be more information at the San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday. We’re also expecting some info on single-player DLC. Watch this space.
