Microsoft can probably go ahead and remove that “only on Xbox 360” label off of Mass Effect, because things are about to change.

Hot on the heels of hyping the Xbox 360 and PC releases of the game next week, BioWare has announced that Mass Effect Trilogy will in fact make its way to PlayStation 3 in the U.S. on December 4th. The game features all three chapters of Commander Shepard’s respected legacy, so you can continue from one game to the next with ease.

If you already own Mass Effect 2 and 3, don’t fret. The original Mass Effect will also be available as a digital download through the PlayStation Network on the 4th. Though a price wasn’t given, it’s expected to be around $14.99-$19.99. Edge of Reality is working with BioWare on the port, and is said to be making magnificent progress.

You can check out a trailer for the trilogy below, and count the days – Shepard lives!
