It's raining collector's editions over at Konami! It certainly makes sense, as the company is coming off its annual Gamers Night event in San Francisco, so the timing is perfect.

Hot on the heels of announcing their Zone of the Enders HD Collection limited edition package, the company also confirmed that their forthcoming action game Metal Gear Rising Revengeance will be getting similar treatment. A special package will include various goodies revolving around Raiden, including a cool "high frequency plasma lamp" that lights up and shows you the tremendous power of Raiden's glowing sword. Yeah, like we needed a reminder of just how powerful it is. The darned thing cuts helicopters in half!!

No other details have been revealed as of yet, but you can bet some extra DLC goodies will be added along with a possible soundtrack and art book. We'll let you know as details unfold.

But you best get your pre-orders in now, because Metal Gear Rising Revengeance will be slicing its way to store shelves on February 19th, 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
