Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Takes Digital Release Route Later This Month

Last year, Konami released Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and it was a rousing success.  This past June, the company followed suit with a PS Vita edition, even though it was missing the much-acclaimed Peace Walker inclusion.  But if you somehow missed out on both games, relax, you’ll get a chance to do it again – this time in digital form.

Konami has announced that, on August 21 and 28 of this month, it’ll be releasing the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection on PS3, Xbox 360 and PS Vita as both collective and separate releases in digital form, through PlayStation Network and Xbox Live.  Though pricing details weren’t revealed, we did get a schedule showing when the games would release, and it’s as follows…

August 21

• Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty - HD Edition (PS Vita)

• Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater - HD Edition (PS Vita)

• Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty - HD Edition (PS3)

• Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater - HD Edition (PS3)

• Metal Gear Solid - HD Collection – MGS2 + MGS3 (X360) – Games On Demand release

August 28

• Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (PS3)

• Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (X360) – Games on Demand Release

• Metal Gear Solid - HD Collection Bundle – MGS2+3+PW (PS3)
