PlayStation Plus Launches For PS Vita Next Week, Brings Six Free Games

You're going to need a bigger memory card.

After first announcing it at Tokyo Game Show a few months ago, Sony is finally moving forward with bringing its membership-enabled PlayStation Plus service to the PS Vita.  The company announced today that the program will launch next week, on Tuesday November 20th.  A new update will be required to take advantage of the program, but it’s quick to download – and comes with plenty of benefits.

Six games in the Instant Game Collection have been announced, and they aren’t any low-level titles, but actually rather good games.  Here’s the rundown of what you can snag for free in the first week…

Uncharted: Golden Abyss

Gravity Rush

Wipeout 2048

Jet Set Radio (rescheduled from its previous October 16th release)

Mutant Blobs Attack!!!

Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions (PSP game)

This is quite a beneficial package, and Sony is just getting started.  Like it does on the PlayStation 3, it will be shifting around titles each month to bring new games to the service, both classics and current releases alike.

If you aren’t a member of PlayStation Plus yet, this just might pique your interest.
