TV network Syfy have revealed plans to make a two hour long film of Red Faction, the pilot of which will be shown on the channel in March next year.

The live-action movie will take place on Mars where Jake is off to look for his kidnapped sister and avenge his murdered mother.
The events will take place 25 years previous to Red Faction: Guerilla and its sequel Red Faction: Armageddon.
The movie is set to written by Andrew Kreisberg (Flash, Viper, The Rocketeer and The Sentinel).
It could perhaps be turned into a series or feature-length film depending on its success.
Red Faction: Armageddon is planned for release in March next year.
