It’s been said by Keiji Inafune that Resident Evil 5 might come out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 at the same time.

Speaking to 360ism, the Capcom R&D man stated "We want to grow the Resident Evil series into a multi-platform franchise, so we hope to release it simultaneously."

"But since we don't know the launch period for the PS3 yet, it's hard to say," he said in a statement recounted by Gamespot.

The statement doesn’t confirm too much and Capcom have added nothing officially but it’s likely that the man’s just speaking his mind and making the point that the Xbox 360 is a console well worth developing for.
