Rock Band iOS Still Going Strong

Ignore any news that says this popular app may go offline at the end of the month, as you'll be able to rock out to your hearts content for some time to come.

Who says that the rock party has to continue playing on?  Not EA.  Well, at least not at first.

An erroneous message was sent out to users who played the original Rock Band for iOS devices stating, “On May 31, ROCK BAND will no longer be playable on your device.  Thanks for rocking out with us!”  The message infuriated users who had spent money on the app and its tie-in downloadable content.

After receiving many complaints EA revealed the message was sent in error.  The company responded, “Rock Band for iOS will remain live – the in-app message users received yesterday was sent in error.”  They further added, “We apologize for the confusion this caused.  We’re working to clarify the issue that caused the error and will share additional information as soon as possible.”

Thankfully the rock party will continue so you can keep strumming away on your touch screen.
