First Rock Band Blitz Tracks Unveiled

Harmonix unveiled the first tracks that will be included in the game, and there’s a great deal of variety here.

Rock Band Blitz was announced earlier this year by Harmonix, providing a conventional gameplay twist on the popular rock series which can be played with a regular controller.  It definitely harkens back to the old days of Harmonix’s previous games Frequency and Amplitude, but does so with officially licensed rock tracks.

Today, the company unveiled the first tracks that will be included in the game, and there’s a great deal of variety here.  Behold, some of the first songs you’ll hear in the game!

All-American Rejects – “Kids in the Street”
Barenaked Ladies – “One Week”
Collective Soul – “Shine”
Elton John – “I’m Still Standing”
Fall Out Boy – “A Little Less Sixteen Candles”
Great White – “Once Bitten Twice Shy”
Iron Maiden – “Wicker Man”
Living Colour – “Cult of Personality”
P!nk – “Raise Your Glass”
Shinedown – “Diamond Eyes”
Tears for Fears – “Shout”

It’s kind of interesting to see a few 80’s bands thrown in with current favorites from Shinedown, and we’ve only seen part of the track list.  Don’t forget, you can port these over to be played in Rock Band 3 as well, should you feel like strumming your instrument to the likes of Living Colour.  Honestly, who wouldn’t?

Look for Rock Band Blitz this summer.
