It is as Jenny said, but they where going to have Green as their colour not Purple but because GTA:SA came out and the gang you play in that has green as their colour so they changed it to purple.

Traditionally for most Saints Gang Cars the colors are shades of purple with gold trim/rims etc. Depending on the car sometimes silver or chrome is used instead.

For clothing various shades of purples, greys/silver/white/black, gold, tend to be the most consistant for gang members.

    Two things to note:

Depending on the colors of the cars you have/customize in your garage, the Saints in Saints Row The Third will sometimes be seeing driving cars around in those colors even two-tone ones.

During "survival", most missions where they play a role, etc. the Saints will at that time show up in cars in the traditional Saints Colors for easy identification.
